ISO Rating is used by some insurance companies in the calculation of the cost for your homeowners insurance. If you are in KESA’s district, your home will fall into one of the three following categories:
- If your home is within 5 miles driving distance from our Station 1 at McNeil Canyon, your ISO rating is a 8b.
- If your home is within 5 miles driving distance from our Station 2, temporarily on Ruth Way, your ISO rating is a 9.
- If your home is outside of 5 miles driving distance from one of our stations, your ISO rating is a 10.
KESA is in the process of acquiring a new tanker/pumper fire apparatus. We are expecting delivery in early spring of 2012.
When this apparatus is place into service the ISO Rating for properties within 5 miles of Station 2 will go drop to an 8b.
At the end of summer 2012, KESA Station 2 will move to our newly constructed facility which will be located on Diamond Ridge Road 2.2 miles from the Sterling Highway.
